Black Pride

It is with bitterness and justifiable anger that I write this piece. The injustice faced by black people in the US and all around the world is a problem that has been pushed under the carpet for far too long and I think it is high time we spoke out, make our voices heard and our emotions felt.

There is no need to define racism, it breeds from hatred and the feeling of inferiority.

I believe the only way we can defeat the racial system is to be united and at peace with ourselves. Whether African, Afro-American, Latino, Asian, or whoever, we are all human and should all be treated as such.

We all talk of change, and changing the system can only be achieved if we view each other as equal and treat each other the way we would wish to be treated. Whether or not you're directly involved, educate yourself, your family, and people within your reach. Everyone needs to join the struggle to stop racism. Awareness is key at such a time like this.

Notice how the media hasn't posted much about the black lives matter movement lately and most people aren't posting on their social media anymore, but the cop who killed Breonna Taylor still hasn't been arrested. It seems as though this was just a trend and after some time people stopped talking about it. Black lives still matter and we're not anywhere close to victory against the racial system.

I urge us to be strong and determined. Together we can fight and conquer this. If you're gonna take something away from this piece, please remember that justice has not yet been served and if you don't speak up against a problem, you're a part of it.

BLACK IS BOLD

BLACK IS POWERFUL

BLACK IS STRONG

BLACK LIVES MATTER
